China becomes a "no-go" zone?!

I'm a bit late to this, but the Wall Street Journal reports that China Is Becoming a No-Go Zone for Executives. They've discovered exit bans. Huh.

Despite this, like moths to the flame, they can't resist: "US business elite welcomes Xi Jinping with standing ovation, reports the Financial Times. The WSJ, not so tone-deaf, initially published their story as "Xi Draws Standing Ovation from US Business Leaers" (note the URL: https://www.wsj.com/world/china/chinas-xi-draws-standing-ovation-from-u-s-business-leaders...), but toned it down to "U.S. Executives Get No Reassurance From Xi on Tougher China Business Environment".

Don't forget:

"What if we could just be China for a day? I mean, just, just, just one day. You know, I mean, where we could actually, you know, authorize the right solutions, and I do think there is a sense of that, on, on everything from the economy to environment" – Thomas L. Friedman Wants Us "to be China for a day," to "authorize the right solutions"

"There's a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is actually allowing them to turn their economyaround on a dime."– Justin Trudeau's 'foolish' China remarks spark anger | CBC News

"I think it’s a role model for many countries," Schwab said… the Chinese model is certainly a very attractive model for quite a number of countries"– World Economic Forum founder & Chair Klaus Schwab,"– World Economic Forum chair Klaus Schwab declares on Chinese state TV: 'China is a model for many nations'

And, of course, the wonderful Mark Mobius.

Why do our elites love the CCP so much?
